Since 1878, Idlewild has been providing smiles, laughter, and memories longer than almost every other amusement park in the entire United States. Originally a simple picnic ground along the Ligonier Valley Rail Road, the park has grown into a sprawling entertainment center rich in tradition, nostalgia, and natural beauty, and is recognized as one of the top destinations for family fun in the country.

Looking for a nice family getaway where you won't wait in lines for hours? Then head on over to PA and check out Idlewild! My husband and kids have been there previously, but a couple weeks ago I went for the 1st time with them. A cute little amusement park that has a rustic feel. If you plan on riding rides, you will need to purchase your wrist band, otherwise no need to purchase one! So if you are not fond of rides, but don't want to miss out on family fun, then this is the place for you.
They have"adult" rides like roller coaster, high flying planes, etc. as well as a kid ride area and good old Storybook Forest along with Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I had heard stories from my hubby that as a child he went to this park and remembered Storybook forest. It is a cute family park that has something for everyone!
